Formula 1 United States Grand Prix 2024 Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw”)

Terms and Conditions

We are Formula One Management Limited of No. 2 St James’s Market, London, SW1Y 4AH (“we”, “us”, “our”, and the “Promoter”). We and our group companies own the exclusive right to commercialise the FIA Formula One World Championship® in all media. We are the promoter of the Prize Draw.

“You”, “your”, and the “participant” means the individual entering the Prize Draw.

By entering the Prize Draw you accept these terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”).

For the avoidance of doubt, the terms of use of formula1.com and our privacy policy shall apply to your use of formula1.com.

1. WHO CAN ENTER THE PRIZE DRAW

1.1 Subject to Paragraph 5.1 below, this Prize Draw is only open to entrants who:

a) are aged 18 and above;

b) scanned a QR code at our F1 Unlocked Helmet activation in the F1 Fan Zone at FORMULA 1 PIRELLI UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2024 (the “United States GP”) between the Opening Date and the Closing Date; and

c) are residents of the UK, EU, or USA and other territories where its operation and the Prize(s) are permitted (where operation of this Prize Draw is not permitted by applicable law or regulation, this Prize Draw shall not be operated and residents of such jurisdictions are not permitted to enter).

1.2 The Prize Draw is not open to:

a) employees, contractors or agents of the Promoter, their group companies or family members, freelance contributors, anyone else connected to the Prize Draw and their family members;

b) public officials (as defined by applicable laws, statutes and regulations relating to bribery and corruption, including but not limited to the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 and the UK Bribery Act 2010) and anyone connected to them; or

c) residents of any countries subject to US, UK or EU sanctions, including for example residents of Russia and Belarus.

1.3 In entering the Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so in accordance with Paragraph 1.1. We may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Prize Draw.

2. HOW TO ENTER

2.1 Each of the Competitions (together constituting the Prize Draw) will run in accordance with the following table from the "Opening Date" to the "Closing Date" inclusive. Entries received outside this time period are void and will not be eligible to win any Prize.

2.2 In order to enter a Competition you must, prior to the Closing Date:

a) interact with a member of staff or scan the Unlocked QR code at our F1 Fan Zone activation F1 Unlocked Helmet at the United States GP between the Opening Date and the Closing Date;

b) complete the entry form on https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/united-states-grand-prix-2024-competition.3FMD5wNMfNImozHKwV77AO; and

c) for the Friday / Saturday Competition only, confirm that you are attending the United States GP on Sunday 20 October 2024.

2.3 The winner(s) of the Prize Draw will be contacted via (a) for the Friday / Saturday Competition, phone only; and (b) for the Sunday Competition, email or phone. You must provide a valid email address and phone number at the time of entering the Prize Draw. Any entry received without a valid email address and/or phone number will be void and you will not be eligible to win any Prize. All personal data provided by you when entering the Prize Draw will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy as per Paragraph 5.2.

2.4 No purchase is necessary to enter the Prize Draw and purchase of any item does not enhance your chance of winning.

2.6 Only one (1) entry per person per Competition is permitted. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. The winner shall be the named respondent on the randomly selected winning entry.

2.7 We accept no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.

3. PRIZES

3.1 Provided that the winners comply with these Terms and Conditions, they will be entitled to receive the following prizes (being the Friday / Saturday Competition Prize and Sunday Competition Prize, each a “Prize” and together the “Prizes”) which will be provided by us:

3.2 The Prize(s) listed in Paragraph 3.1 above consists of the Prize(s) only and does not include any associated costs or expenses. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the Prize(s) are the responsibility of the winner(s). We accept no responsibility for any costs associated with the Prize(s) that are not expressly included in Paragraph 3.1 above.

3.3 The winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes, including customs duty, levies and/or other import fees to which any Prize may be subject, and any taxes imposed on their income.

3.4 The approximate retail value for the Prize(s) are as follows: a) Friday / Saturday Competition Prize: we do not consider paddock passes or VIP experiences (including Guided Paddock Tours) to have any retail value as they are not generally available for purchase; and b) Sunday Competition Prize: USD$200 (TWO HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS).

3.5 All Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other prize.

3.6 We reserve the right to substitute the Prizes (or any part of the Prizes) with an alternative of similar value in the event that the original Prizes offered is/are not available.

3.7 The Prizes as set out above and awarded to the winner shall not be used or dealt with in any way that is incompatible with any applicable laws, statutes and regulations relating to bribery and corruption, including but not limited to the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act 1977 and the UK Bribery Act 2010, and the winner hereby acknowledges and agrees that no Prize issued pursuant to the these Terms and Conditions may be sold or offered for sale or other form of reward or incentive to any third party.

4. WINNER

4.1 There shall be only one (1) winner per Competition, with a total of two (2) winners across the Prize Draw. To determine the winner per Competition, a random draw from all entries received for that Competition in accordance with these Terms and Conditions shall take place for the corresponding Prize listed at Paragraph 3.1. The odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received.

4.2 The draw will be performed by a random computer process. The draw for each Competition will take place at our offices at No. 2 St James’s Market, London, SW1Y 4AH no later than as follows:

4.3 The winner will be notified that they have won (but may be notified later if selected in accordance with Paragraphs 4.4 and 4.5 below) and provided further details as to how they will be able to claim their Prize as follows:

4.4 If the winner of the Friday / Saturday Competition does not respond to us within thirty minutes (30’) of being notified of their win, the winner’s Prize will be forfeited and we shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will also have to respond to notification of their win within thirty minutes (30’) or else they will also forfeit their Prize).

4.5 If the winner of the Sunday Competition does not respond to us within seven (7) days of being notified of their win, the winner’s Prize will be forfeited and we shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will also have to respond to notification of their win within seven (7) days or else they will also forfeit their Prize).

4.6 If the winner rejects their Prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner’s Prize will be forfeited and we shall be entitled to select another winner.

4.7 The Friday / Saturday Competition Prize will be delivered to the winner on Sunday 20 October 2024 and the Friday / Saturday Competition winner consents to such delivery being filmed by us. The footage of the Friday / Saturday Competition Prize delivery will be used by us in accordance with Paragraph 5.1.

4.8 The Sunday Competition Prize will be delivered to the winner by email.

4.9 Our decision regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered in to.

4.10 Proof that a valid winner was awarded can be obtained after the date of the Prize Draw by sending a stamped addressed envelope to us, for the attention of Gemma Locke at address: No. 2 St James’s Market, London, SW1Y 4AH.

5. PUBLICITY AND YOUR DATA

5.1 Each winner consents to the use by us and our related companies, both before and after the Closing Date of the relevant Competition for an unlimited time, of the winner’s voice, still and moving images and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by us and our related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Prize Draw, you consent to the same. Residents of Tennessee or any other U.S. state or other jurisdiction in which it is unlawful to require agreement to a perpetual publicity release as a condition of winning a Prize shall not be bound by this Paragraph 5.1 to the extent it is lawful.

5.2 We will use and take care of any personal information you supply in entering this Prize Draw as described in our privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at (https://account.formula1.com/#/en/privacy-policy), and any other privacy policies we may provide to you from time to time. The information supplied by you in the associated entry form will be used as described on the entry form. Where a Prize is provided by a third party, you may be asked to provide your details to such third party in order for that third party to deliver your Prize.

5.3 Where you have consented to receive marketing communications from any person other than us, your details may be passed to such person(s) and organisation(s) that you have consented to receiving marketing communications from.

6. MISCELLANEOUS

6.1 We (and our related companies) accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Prize Draw or accepting the Prize(s). We (and our related companies) further disclaim any liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Prize Draw save to the extent that such liability results from (i) death or personal injury caused by the our negligence; (ii) our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other reason or by any cause which cannot be excluded by law.

6.2 We reserve the right at any time and from time to time to modify, discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Prize Draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud).

6.3 We (and our related companies) shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this Prize Draw where the failure is caused by something outside our reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, epidemic, pandemic, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

6.4 The Prize Draw and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them is subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts. However, you may have statutory or legal rights in the territory where you live which could apply to your entry in the Prize Draw.
