Alfa Romeo: Kimi Raikkonen debuts 2019 F1 car in special Valentine’s Day livery
Alfa Romeo have become the latest F1 team to hit the track with their 2019 car – and they did so in style, paying homage to the date of their running with a special Valentine’s Day-inspired livery.
Kimi Raikkonen was behind the wheel of the Ferrari-powered car as the Swiss team completed a filming day at Fiorano in Italy, just four days ahead of the official start of pre-season testing in Barcelona.
In choosing to break cover in an interim livery, Alfa Romeo follow the lead of Red Bull Racing, whose brand-new Honda-powered RB15 ran at Silverstone on Wednesday in a special pre-season paint job.
The news means that four teams have now shaken down their 2019 challengers, with Toro Rosso having given their STR14 an outing at Misano in Italy on Wednesday, with driver Alex Albon getting his first taste of F1 machinery.
