AlphaTauri choose Valentine’s Day for 2020 F1 launch
AlphaTauri, formerly known as Toro Rosso, have become the second Formula 1 team to confirm their 2020 Formula 1 launch plans with their reveal pencilled in for February 14th – Valentine’s Day…
Last month, the provisional 2020 entry list revealed the Italian team – that debuted in 2006 - would now be known as AlphaTauri, named for Red Bull’s burgeoning clothing brand.

It has been a successful season for the Faenza-based squad, with Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly taking podiums in Germany and Brazil respectively, making it the first time Toro Rosso have scored multiple rostrums across a season.
Kvyat and Gasly will stay onboard for next season, but it remains to be seen whether the team’s name change will affect their livery.
The launch will take place at Red Bull’s Hangar 7 base in Salzburg, Austria, on the evening of February 14, three days after Ferrari – who were the first to confirm their 2020 launch plans – pull the covers off their new challenger.
