BETTING GUIDE: How the odds are stacked ahead of the British Grand Prix
Nine races down in 2023, nine Red Bull victories in the books. Will that trend continue this weekend at the British Grand Prix – or are another driver and team set to take Silverstone by storm? Let’s dig into the odds…
188BET’s odds are presented in decimal form: for every $1 wagered you would win the figure represented by the odds; so, if Verstappen is favourite at 1.50, you would win $1.50 for every dollar bet.

The odds for the win
Unless you’ve been living under a large rock of late, it won’t surprise you to see Max Verstappen heading the odds for who’s most likely to win this weekend. The Dutch driver is on a run of five straight victories at the moment, the most recent coming last weekend at the Red Bull Ring (where he also won the Sprint).
• Max Verstappen 1.30
• Sergio Perez 8.00
• Lewis Hamilton 13.0
• Charles Leclerc, Fernando Alonso 17.0
• George Russell 23.0
• Carlos Sainz 29.0
• Lance Stroll 151
• Lando Norris 201
• Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri, Pierre Gasly 301
• Alex Albon, Kevin Magnussen, Logan Sargeant, Nico Hulkenberg, Nyck de Vries, Valtteri Bottas, Yuki Tsunoda, Zhou Guanyu 601
The odds for who will be fastest in qualifying
You can add four straight poles to Verstappen’s victory tally at the moment. But with Charles Leclerc qualifying just 0.048s adrift of the Red Bull driver in Austria last weekend, the Monegasque – already a pole-sitter this year at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix – is P2 in the running for pole supremacy this weekend.
• Max Verstappen 1.36
• Charles Leclerc 7.50
• Sergio Perez 10.0
• Lewis Hamilton 13.0
• Fernando Alonso 15.0
• Carlos Sainz, George Russell 21.0
• Lando Norris 67.0
• Lance Stroll 101
• Esteban Ocon 301
• Alex Albon, Kevin Magnussen, Logan Sargeant, Nico Hulkenberg, Nyck de Vries, Oscar Piastri, Pierre Gasly, Valtteri Bottas, Yuki Tsunoda, Zhou Guanyu 601

The odds for a podium finish
Now here’s an interesting category this weekend. Yes, Verstappen is once again out in front, but there are a number of other drivers also fancied for podium contention, including the likes of Verstappen’s Red Bull team mate Sergio Perez, while Brits Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and McLaren’s Lando Norris are all priced competitively.
• Max Verstappen 1.22
• Sergio Perez 1.57
• Lewis Hamilton 2.00
• Charles Leclerc 2.25
• Fernando Alonso 2.35
• Carlos Sainz, George Russell 4.30
• Lando Norris 9.00
• Lance Stroll 26.0
• Esteban Ocon, Oscar Piastri 51.0
• Pierre Gasly 67.0
• Alex Albon, Kevin Magnussen, Nico Hulkenberg 101
• Valtteri Bottas, Zhou Guanyu 151
• Yuki Tsunoda 201
• Logan Sargeant, Nyck de Vries 251
The odds for fastest lap
Fastest lap honours have been a mixed bag in 2023, with Verstappen, Perez, Russell, Hamilton and even Zhou Guanyu having claimed them this year. Nonetheless, it’s still the championship leader out front, closely followed by Perez, with Leclerc the next best.

Red Bull could move within one victory of McLaren’s record this weekend for most consecutive wins at the start of a season (11). • Red Bull 1.16
• Mercedes 8.00
• Ferrari 10.0
