Tips for the Italian Grand Prix

Daniel Ricciardo is a must-buy, given Renault’s low-downforce performance so far in 2020 - especially last time out at Spa. Last season he finished fourth in Italy, and the French squad's car is undoubtedly better this season, so he’s worth bringing in at around $13.8m. Just 34% of teams include the Australian at time of writing.

Meanwhile Lando Norris could clinch 10 bonus F1 Fantasy extra points if he finishes in the top-10, as the only driver on the verge of a streak this week. The McLaren driver could take more than 30 points from Italy if he finishes around P7, which makes him a worthy Turbo Driver candidate.

Daniel Ricciardo scored big in Belgium and could do so again in Italy

Racing Point’s relative lack of pace was glaring and disappointing in Belgium. At another high-speed circuit, consider midfield rivals such as AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly and Renault’s Esteban Ocon, with Alfa Romeo's Kimi Raikkonen having emerged a solid points-scorer too.

Oh, and remember to play your Mega Driver powerup here or for the following race in Mugello, if you haven’t already. Another one will be made available from the Russian Grand Prix onwards and the existing one will expire. Remember, the Mega Driver powerup triples your driver’s score.

Mini leagues mean prizes

Make sure to enter the 'Italian Double' Mini League for the next two races to be in with the chance of winning a signed Antonio Giovinazzi cap. The league code is b4df6f92b2.

A signed Mercedes cap is up for grabs if you win the ‘Race To The Finish’ league, which runs from the Russian Grand Prix through to Abu Dhabi. The league code for that is 44e81e9550.

Team of the week from the Belgian Grand Prix

Race winner Lewis Hamilton hauled in the points, 132 of them in fact, thanks to a Mega Driver powerup on his score. He took 25 points for winning, 10 for pole position, five for beating his team mate Valtteri Bottas on Saturday and Sunday and four more for making Q3 and finishing the race. It added up to 44 in all, a score which was tripled for any players who had the Mega Driver powerup.

Ricciardo took 33 Fantasy points from the Grand Prix – just 11 fewer than Hamilton – for finishing fourth, beating his team mate in the race and qualifying, finishing in Q3 and taking Fastest Lap. A Turbo Driver powerup doubled his tally to 66.
