It wasn’t just behind the wheel where Lewis Hamilton was pushing boundaries in 2020. Hamilton brought his A-game when it came to fashion too, brightening up the F1 paddock with creations from some of the world's hottest young designers. So, after securing his seventh drivers’ title in style – both off-track and on – we round up 10 of Hamilton’s best looks from last season.

1. Grand finale

Seventh title well and truly sewn up, Hamilton’s return to action at Abu Dhabi after his bout of Covid-19 saw him pull out this monochrome double denim combo from New York-based designer Pyer Moss, capped off with a Prada bucket hat and Louis Vuitton sunnies designed by Hamilton favourite Virgil Abloh.

2. Wrapping up at Spa

A look that was at the snugglier end of the sartorial spectrum, at Spa Hamilton stepped out in this Off-White faux shearling jumper designed by Virgil Abloh, with a pair of Fear of God trousers to complete the look.

3. All pink, all the time

Hamilton’s striking all-pink double denim look at Imola sent tongues wagging around the world, the matching jeans and jacket coming from a collab between American designer Heron Preston and Levi’s.

4. Off to work in Turkey

Ahead of the Turkish Grand Prix that saw him claim his Michael Schumacher-equalling seventh title, Hamilton took dog Roscoe for a stroll kitted out in a workwear look, made up of a Prada shirt and Honor the Gift's Mechanic Uniform Pant trousers.

5. Fantastic Green

Bahrain might not be famous for its greenery, but that didn’t stop Hamilton heading out into the paddock at Sakhir sporting this ‘Fantastic Green’ T-shirt from Italian brand MSGM.

Ahead of his dramatic victory at the British Grand Prix, Hamilton went for a dressed down look in this kimono-style top, along with a pair of Heron Preston jeans.

Optimism was a much needed commodity in 2020, and Hamilton attempted to inject some into the paddock at Silverstone with this ‘Local Optimist’ sweatshirt from brand Madhappy, completed by a pair of trippy trousers from The North Face x Supreme collaboration.

Arguably Hamilton’s boldest look of 2020 was this Madras checked shirt/shorts/hat combination from MSGM’s Spring/Summer collection, which the Mercedes driver rocked in the Mugello paddock ahead of his win at the inaugural Tuscan Grand Prix.

10. Making headlines at the Eifel Grand Prix

A frosty F1 return to the Nurburgring didn’t prevent Hamilton from donning some more double denim, as he opted for these matching top and bottoms from the Dior x Daniel Arsham collection – topped off with a much-needed woolly hat, and some lesser-needed shades. Much like his threads, Hamilton would make headlines later that weekend by matching Michael Schumacher’s record of 91 F1 victories.
