It's been another incredible year of success for Mercedes this season as they have wrapped up a seventh consecutive double world championship, continuing their vice-like grip on the constructors', and powered Lewis Hamilton to his own seventh drivers' title.

And as a thank you to the many people who have worked so hard to make it all happen, the team are running a special livery at the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi, featuring the name of each person who has been a part of their success.

“We have a very special surprise this weekend in Abu Dhabi for our team members,” said Team Principal Toto Wolff. “We'll be running a slightly different livery on Saturday and Sunday featuring everyone's name on the car to honour the huge commitment and determination from everybody in Brixworth and Brackley.

“Everyone has pushed hard this year, raising the bar through this massively intense season, and we hope this gesture goes some way in showing the appreciation we have for everyone involved.”

The special design made its first appearance in final practice at the Yas Marina Circuit on Saturday, and Wolff added that the cars were carrying the names of "everybody who’s contributed to this year’s success, in Kuala Lumpur, in Stuttgart, in Turin, in Brackley or Brixworth.

"A year that has been tremendously difficult at times, but also rewarding for all of us with this world championship title."

The team head into the season finale in Abu Dhabi looking to end another record-breaking year on a high, with Hamilton now back in the car after missing the last race following a positive Covid test in Bahrain.
