Sergio Perez has brought a brand-new helmet design for his home race – the 2021 Mexico City Grand Prix – as he prepares for a maiden Mexico appearance with Red Bull. Williams' George Russell and Aston Martin's Sebastian Vettel have brought one-off helmet designs for this weekend's race too.

Perez's helmet features the tricoloured Mexican flag and various motifs dotted about including a sarape on the back – various coloured stripes emulating the famous Mexican woolen garment.

Even the foam padding inside the helmet sports the three colours, showing just how excited Perez is for his first home race with Red Bull.

Williams driver Russell, who also brought a special design to the United States GP, says 'Viva Mexico' this weekend, his helmet featuring the bright colours of the flag and nods to traditional Mexican art all around.

Finally, Aston Martin driver Vettel continues to promote his message of sustainability with sponsors BWT, the rear of his design featuring the same message it has for most of the season: "Change the world, sip by sip".

McLaren's Lando Norris, no stranger to special designs, has a new helmet that replaces part of his helmet with a traditional Mexican floral pattern instead.

And Haas's Nikita Mazepin has a spooky Halloween design, spiders' webs having taken over the black parts of his helmet as he embraces the holiday that took place just before this weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix.
