No driver won more races or World Championships for Ferrari than the great Michael Schumacher, and as the Italian team celebrate their 1000th Grand Prix, Michael’s son Mick drove one of his father’s title winning cars around the Mugello circuit.
Mick, who is currently leading the Formula 2 Championship and is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, climbed into the cockpit of his father's F2004 for a demo run in the build up to the Tuscan Grand Prix – the Scuderia's 1000th F1 race.

It is the car in which Michael Schumacher won his seventh and final World Championship in 2004 – his fifth title triumph for Ferrari – and Mick was hugely impressed with the car, which was tested extensively at the Ferrari-owned Mugello circuit.
"A lot of kilometres have been done here with this car and to be able to drive it now, the second generation to drive it, is something very special," he said. "The feeling, even the way it was driving, handling, it felt quite impressive.
"I’m sure I’m miles off what they were doing back then but it was incredible, incredible – definitely incredible."
