MUST-SEE: Ricciardo follows countryman Piastri into the barrier during FP2 in Zandvoort

Oscar Piastri and Daniel Ricciardo’s first day of running at Zandvoort ended in poor fashion with both drivers crashing into the barrier one after another, leaving both their teams with a hefty repair job ahead of tomorrow’s action.
Piastri had set the fourth fastest time of FP2 when, on a flying lap, he lost the rear end of his MCL60 on the banking and spun straight into the barrier at Turn 3, with Ricciardo following his fellow Australian.

The AlphaTauri racer had also been on his flying lap and, with Piastri on his racing line, he failed to see the rookie driver until it was too late, leading him to lock up and head straight off into the barriers.
