OFFICIAL GRID – Who starts where for Sunday’s British Grand Prix after Bottas DSQ
There was one familiar storyline in Silverstone qualifying – Max Verstappen on pole with Red Bull team mate Sergio Perez enduring another tough session. Far less familiar was a McLaren on the front row and another in P3 after scintillating laps from Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

They left the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and 2022 pole-sitter Carlos Sainz in their wake, in P4 and P5 respectively, followed by the Mercedes of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton and the Williams of Alex Albon.
The aforementioned Perez dropped out in Q1 to end up 15th on the grid. Valtteri Bottas did make it into Q2, only for a technical problem to bring his Alfa Romeo to a halt on track, the issue also leading to his disqualification after the required post-race fuel sample could not be extracted from his car.
