Red Bull creates new Technical Director role
Share
As part of their bid to topple Mercedes and clinch a first world championship since 2013, Red Bull have evolved their technical department.
Renowned F1 designer Adrian Newey, who has won world championships with McLaren, Williams and Red Bull, will retain his role as Chief Technical Officer of the squad.
He will continue to play a substantial role on the F1 project, but will dovetail those duties with his work on Aston Martin’s road car projects.
To bolster their technical operation, Red Bull have promoted Chief Engineer of Performance Pierre Wache to the newly-created role of Technical Director.
Wache previously worked at Sauber, fulfilling the role of Vehicle Dynamics Engineer before earning promotion to Head of Vehicle Performance. He joined Red Bull in 2013.
Chief Engineering Officer Rob Marshall, Head of Aerodynamics Dan Fallows and Chief Engineer for Car Engineering Paul Monaghan’s positions remain unchanged.
