The British Grand Prix has delivered plenty of great races over the years and the 2023 edition was no different, with Max Verstappen delivering another sumptuous victory – Red Bull’s 11th win in a row. But there was no shortage of other storylines and incidents across the grid, with plenty of drivers taking note over the radio airwaves.
McLaren’s uptick in form – culminating in a P2 finish for Lando Norris and P4 for Oscar Piastri – was one of the biggest stories to emerge from the weekend at Silverstone and plenty of drivers took note. Lewis Hamilton dubbed McLaren’s updated car a ‘rocket ship’ on team radio, as he battled with Norris for that runner-up spot, while his Mercedes team mate George Russell couldn’t help but be impressed by the McLaren performance on hard tyres.

It was also a weekend to remember for Williams and Alex Albon, who received a very warm message from his team boss James Vowles after crossing the finish line in eighth.
