WATCH: Red Bull break pit stop world record at Silverstone

They may have missed out on a British Grand Prix podium, but Red Bull didn’t leave Silverstone empty handed as they established a new world record time for a pit stop.
With James Bond actor Daniel Craig watching on, Red Bull’s pit crew proved neither shaken nor stirred as they brilliantly changed all four tyres on Pierre Gasly’s RB15 in just 1.91s.
That shaved 0.01s off the previous best pit stop time, held jointly by Red Bull and Williams.
And not content with taking a maximum 25 points in the DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award contest, Red Bull also scooped a further 18 for the second-fastest tyre change, having serviced Max Verstappen’s car in 1.96s.
It’s perhaps no surprise then that Red Bull hold a commanding lead in the overall DHL Fastest Pit Stop Award standings, with 223 points to Williams’ 173. Ferrari are third on 166 with McLaren fourth on 142 and Mercedes fifth on 89.
