IMOLA, ITALY - APRIL 15: A general view of a track building during previews ahead of the F1 Grand

Round two of the 2021 season sees Formula 1 head to the beautiful Imola circuit for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. So, ahead of the second race weekend of the year, let’s take a look at the current odds for polesitter, fastest lap, winner and more, provided by 188BET.COM.

188BET's odds are presented in decimal form: for every $1 wagered you would win the figure represented by the odds; so if Lewis Hamilton is favourite at 1.50, you would win $1.50 for every dollar bet.

FORM GUIDE: Can Verstappen convert Red Bull’s pace into victory as F1 returns to Imola?

What are the odds for the win?

Following their titanic duel in the desert at the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, it’s level pegging between Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton as to who will emerge victorious at Imola.

Last year, it was Hamilton who took a comfortable on-track victory to help Mercedes seal their seventh straight constructors’ crown – but he’s likely to find life a little trickier this weekend given the searing pace Red Bull showed at Bahrain.

Meanwhile the odds are understandably longer for Hamilton and Verstappen’s team mates Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, with neither having been able to match their sister cars’ performance in the Bahrain Grand Prix.

  • Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton 2.25
  • Valtteri Bottas 7.50
  • Sergio Perez 11.0
  • Daniel Ricciardo, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris 41.0
  • Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly 81.0
  • Yuki Tsunoda 101
  • Lance Stroll, Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel 151
  • Esteban Ocon 201
  • George Russell, Kimi Raikkonen, Antonio Giovinazzi, Mick Schumacher, Nicholas Latifi, Nikita Mazepin 901

What are the odds for who will take pole position?

Having dominantly taken his fourth career pole in Bahrain, Verstappen is favourite to make it a hat-trick this weekend – with Verstappen having also claimed pole at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2020. And considering Verstappen was over half a second off pole at Imola last year, his favourite status this weekend is a sign of just how far Red Bull have come.

Look out for Valtteri Bottas, though, who pipped Hamilton to pole by 0.097s last year – while with three practice sessions this year rather than the one the drivers had in 2020, if Mercedes can get on top of set-up better than Red Bull and their drivers nail their Q3 laps, Bottas could be a dark horse.

  • Max Verstappen 1.80
  • Lewis Hamilton 2.35
  • Valtteri Bottas 10.0
  • Sergio Perez 15.0
  • Daniel Ricciardo, Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Pierre Gasly 67.0
  • Carlos Sainz 81.0
  • Yuki Tsunoda 126
  • Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll, Sebastian Vettel 201
  • Esteban Ocon 301
  • Kimi Raikkonen, Antonio Giovinazzi 601
  • George Russell, Mick Schumacher, Nicholas Latifi, Nikita Mazepin 901

What are the odds for a podium finish?

The fight at the head of the midfield was fierce in Bahrain – and with then-Renault driver Daniel Ricciardo having made it onto the podium at Imola last year, plus an AlphaTauri fourth and Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari fifth, there’s certainly potential for a podium upset this weekend.

With that in mind, keep an eye on the AlphaTauris of Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly. Gasly qualified P4 here last year and was running well until a radiator issue ruled him out – while both drivers have driven their current AlphaTauri AT02 at the track already for a filming day, and Tsunoda has a relatively large amount of testing experience around here in F1 machinery.

  • Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen 1.25
  • Valtteri Bottas 1.80
  • Sergio Perez 2.50
  • Charles Leclerc, Pierre Gasly 5.50
  • Daniel Ricciardo, Lando Norris 6.00
  • Carlos Sainz 11.0
  • Yuki Tsunoda 13.0
  • Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll 26.0
  • Sebastian Vettel 41.0
  • Esteban Ocon 67.0
  • Antonio Giovinazzi, Kimi Raikkonen 251
  • George Russell 501
  • Mick Schumacher, Nicholas Latifi, Nikita Mazepin 901

What are the odds for fastest lap?

A late effort from Valtteri Bottas gave the Finn fastest lap at the Bahrain Grand Prix, while it was Hamilton who claimed the honour at last year’s Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

Despite that, Max Verstappen and his Red Bull RB16B are favoured to do the business this weekend – while 2005 Imola winner Fernando Alonso finds him well down the order, following his relatively low-key start to life with Alpine in Bahrain.

  • Max Verstappen 2.40
  • Lewis Hamilton 3.00
  • Valtteri Bottas 5.00
  • Sergio Perez 9.00
  • Daniel Ricciardo, Lando Norris, Pierre Gasly 23.0
  • Charles Leclerc 34.0
  • Yuki Tsunoda 41.0
  • Carlos Sainz 67.0
  • Lance Stroll, Fernando Alonso 151
  • Kimi Raikkonen, Sebastian Vettel 251
  • Esteban Ocon, Antonio Giovinazzi, Nicholas Latifi, Nikita Mazepin, Mick Schumacher, George Russell 301

What are the odds for which team will take the most points?

They might have been on the back foot heading into the Bahrain Grand Prix. But Mercedes still came away from the Kingdom with the biggest points haul – 41 playing Red Bull’s 28.

However, the two teams remain closely priced ahead of Imola, with Ferrari actually pipping current third-place holders McLaren for the third-shortest odds.

  • Mercedes 1.90
  • Red Bull 1.95
  • Ferrari 29.0
  • McLaren 34.0
  • AlphaTauri 41.0
  • Aston Martin 101
  • Alpine 151
  • Alfa Romeo 501
  • Haas, Williams 901

What are the odds of a Safety Car during the race?

Imola returned to the F1 calendar in 2020, and witnessed two Safety Car periods last year. The old-school nature of the circuit – narrower than most modern venues, and with gravel traps abounding – increase the likelihood of beached cars and contact, meaning the odds have shortened compared to Bahrain (1.30 compared to 1.60) for Safety Car driver Bernd Maylander to be called into action.

  • Yes 1.30
  • No 3.20
