Betting odds for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix – Will Ferrari shine on home soil?
Round 4 of the 2022 season comes from Imola – and with Ferrari on home soil, will the tifosi roar their drivers to victory this weekend? Let’s look to see whether the Scuderia are favourites as we break down the betting odds ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
188BET's odds are presented in decimal form: for every $1 wagered you would win the figure represented by the odds; so if Verstappen is favourite at 1.50, you would win $1.50 for every dollar bet.
The odds for the win
Charles Leclerc is favourite, which is unsurprising, the championship leader having won two from three so far this season in a car that is looking both quick and reliable. Max Verstappen has been on his tail more often than not, although with two DNFs from three races, reliability is clearly a concern down at Red Bull.
Behind those two, Carlos Sainz just pips Sergio Perez and fresh from signing his new deal, will be keen to impress the adoring tifosi. As for the rest, McLaren have jumped up the pecking order fresh from a much stronger showing in Melbourne…
• Charles Leclerc 2.20
• Max Verstappen 2.60
• Carlos Sainz 9.00
• Sergio Perez 13.0
• Lewis Hamilton 17.0
• George Russell 19.0
• Lando Norris 67.0
• Daniel Ricciardo, Esteban Ocon, Fernando Alonso 151
• Kevin Magnussen, Mick Schumacher, Pierre Gasly, Valtteri Bottas, Yuki Tsunoda, Zhou Guanyu 301
• Lance Stroll, Sebastian Vettel 601
• Alexander Albon, Nicholas Latifi 901
The odds for who will be fastest in qualifying
With the return of the Sprint in Imola, qualifying takes place on Friday. Once again, Leclerc is favourite to add to his 11 pole positions, although were he to be quickest, he wouldn’t guarantee himself P1 for Sunday’s Grand Prix. For that he’d also have to cross the line first in the Sprint, which will be no easy feat.
Mercedes have grabbed the last two poles here, courtesy of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton. But the chances of either of those two grabbing P1 on Friday looks relatively slim based on the season so far.

The odds for who will be fastest in the Sprint
On the subject of the Sprint, once again it is Ferrari man Leclerc leading the way, on paper at least. What’s interesting is Lewis Hamilton suddenly is on equal terms with Perez – the seven-time world champion’s racing prowess perhaps coming to the fore.
Perez didn’t have much success when it came to the Sprint last season, but he is finding the RB18 much more to his liking than its predecessor and could well prove handy come Saturday.

• Max Verstappen 2.60
• Carlos Sainz 6.30

The odds for a podium finish
Imola returned to the calendar in 2020, and since then, five different drivers have stoop up on the rostrum. It was no surprise that Mercedes managed a one-two in their dominant 2020 year, with Hamilton pipping then team mate Bottas, with Daniel Ricciardo on the podium for Renault. Fast forward to 2021, and Verstappen came home victorious in a topsy-turvy race that featured a red flag and three Safety Cars.

Hamilton somehow managed to finish second despite crashing, while Lando Norris was a popular third. And with the chance of more rain come Sunday, perhaps Imola will see another surprise midfield runner on the podium.
• Charles Leclerc 1.30
• Max Verstappen 1.35
• Carlos Sainz 1.70
• Sergio Perez 2.30
• Lewis Hamilton 3.00
• George Russell 5.00
• Daniel Ricciardo, Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris 13.0
• Esteban Ocon 15.0
• Pierre Gasly 21.0
• Kevin Magnussen, Mick Schumacher, Yuki Tsunoda, Valtteri Bottas 51.0
• Zhou Guanyu 201
• Lance Stroll, Sebastian Vettel 601
• Alexander Albon, Nicholas Latifi 901
The odds for fastest lap
Leclerc has three from three when it comes to the bonus points on offer for fastest lap, the Monegasque driver even finding time to banter with his race engineer last time out about whether anyone could beat his marker time.
With Verstappen already trailing in the championship thanks to those two non-finishes, he will need every point he can get. And don’t discount the midfield runners from also trying to get in the mix, as an extra point here or there could make all the difference come November when the constructors’ positions slot into place.

What are the odds for which team will take the most points?
Ferrari recorded their first DNF of the season last time out, Sainz failing to finish in Melbourne. Nonetheless they still have a healthy lead in the constructors’ over… Mercedes, who are holding onto a somewhat surprising second despite their porpoising issues.
A strong showing from McLaren in Australia wasn’t just a welcome return to form, but helped them jump ahead of the fancied Alpine in the standings. That being said, Alpine know they underperformed Down Under and will be keen to right some wrongs.
• Ferrari 1.65
• Red Bull 2.30
• Mercedes 9.50
• Alpine, McLaren 51.0
• AlphaTauri 151
• Alfa Romeo, Haas 301
• Aston Martin 601
• Williams 901
