DIARY DATES: The 2021 F1 calendar, pre-season testing details and F1 car launch schedule
The 2021 Formula 1 season is set to feature the biggest ever calendar in the sport’s history, with 23 races on the slate for this year.
With the action set to kick off at the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 28, the season will take in a new race, in the form of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, as well as F1’s first visit to Zandvoort since 1985, as the Dutch Grand Prix returns to the calendar.

2021 F1 CAR/TEAM LAUNCH DATES
The teams are set to field updated versions of their 2020 cars for 2021, with enforced changes to the floor area and the diffuser. 2021 PRE-SEASON TESTING
It’s a short pre-season test for 2021, with the teams having just three days to put their cars through their paces ahead of the first race. Testing will also take place at the Bahrain International Circuit, rather than at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as it has done in recent years.

2021 RACE CALENDAR
2021 will represent the biggest ever calendar in Formula 1 history, with 23 races set to be contested this year. The Australian Grand Prix was originally slated to open proceedings, but has now been put back to November 21, meaning that Bahrain will host the 2021 season opener on March 28.
Look out, meanwhile, for the return of the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, as well as the inaugural Saudi Arabian Grand Prix night race at the Jeddah Street Circuit on December 5 – a week before the curtain comes down on the 2021 season at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
