Good to know

Dress appropriately

Plan your outfit based on the day's activities. Casual attire is fine for dining or exploring the city, but for religious and cultural sites, you should wear modest clothing. It's best to opt for loose, opaque garments that cover your arms and extend well below the knee – which is also good for staying cool in the hot weather!

Be mindful when taking photographs

Abu Dhabi is full of picturesque scenes that are ideal for capturing photos. However, out of courtesy, it is important to avoid taking photos of locals. When taking photos of landscapes and attractions with other people around, it's best to wait until they are out of shot to take the photo.

Don't drink alcohol in public

Whilst alcohol is not completely banned, as places with a licence can sell drinks, it is against the law to be inebriated in public, and it does have consequences. Please drink responsibly where it is legal to do so.
