There are so many fun things to do, see and experience in Las Vegas to make the most of your Grand Prix visit. Events, shows, restaurants, casinos, and outdoor adventures... Vegas has something for everyone.
One of most people's must-do things when they visit the city is to see the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign on the Strip. Night or day, the iconic sign is one of the best selfie spots in Vegas!
Of course, while you're on the Strip, check out some of the fantastic experiences available at the many resorts and casinos... and be sure to see the city light up at night! You can see even more if you venture downtown to the Neon Museum, an exhibition of more than 200 neon signs from the city's past.
If you're looking to engage your inner child – or just enjoy some family friendly fun – then take a trip to the incredible Pinball Hall of Fame. Created by the Las Vegas Pinball Collectors Club, it's the world's largest pinball collection so make sure to bring plenty of quarters!
We couldn't possibly list everything that Las Vegas has to offer here, so check out the Visit Las Vegas website for more!
Food and drink
They say 'whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas'. However, we’d be remiss if we didn’t share some of the incredible food and drink Las Vegas has to offer. The City of Lights has an incredible variety of options that F1 guests can take full advantage of.
Whether your looking for fine dining, bars or buffets, the dedicated page on the Visit Las Vegas website has got you covered, with plenty of places serving some of the tastiest and most satisfying dishes in the city.
It’s said that if you haven’t visited the Peppermill then you haven’t really been to Las Vegas. Opened in 1972, this Strip stalwart, with its fireside lounge and cool atmosphere, has been the backdrop to many TV shows and films over the years and has boasted its fair share of famous clientele.
Open 24 hours a day at the weekend, it’s perfect for an oversized breakfast of steak and eggs to fuel a day of watching the action on track – or share their signature 64 ounce ‘Scorpion’ cocktail with a friend when the day is done.
Good to know
Venture from the Strip!
The Las Vegas Strip can keep tourists busy for days on end, but it’s important to remember that Las Vegas has plenty of attractions on offer further afield too. There are a number of breathtaking National Parks nearby to explore, along with the charming Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas, which perfectly captures the essence of vintage Vegas!
Timing is everything
Las Vegas is a popular tourist hub and can be very busy, especially when Formula 1 comes to town! It’s a good idea to try and plan visits to attractions accordingly and important to note that not every restaurant accepts reservations.
Bring a jacket
Despite temperatures rising during the day, it’s easy to overlook that the desert nights can cool down rather dramatically! To stay comfortable during evening strolls along the strip, be sure to have a jacket to hand.
Embrace late nights!
When visiting Las Vegas it is worth adjusting your body clock, as the city truly comes alive at night! Even if you don’t plan on partying or spending time in casinos until the early hours, the vibrant nightlife, neon-lights and entertainment are a key part of experiencing Vegas. Many attractions, shows, and restaurants operate into the early hours, so embracing the nocturnal energy of the city can make your trip even more memorable!
