"We look forward to welcoming our players to the new era of Formula 1," said Lee Mather, F1 Senior Creative Director at Codemasters.
"Alongside the real-world changes, we have updated the physics to accommodate the new aero rules and reworked the tyre model, making the handling more true to life. With new and updated circuits, adaptive AI, 'F1 Life', and expanded gameplay options, there has never been a better time for players to take their seats and live the life of an F1 driver."
Race day changes allow players to customise their gameplay even more, with new 'immersive' and 'broadcast' options. Immersive mode allows players to take on risk-reward challenges while broadcast mode includes "controlled and authentic cinematics" to enhance the action.

Adaptive AI lets less-experienced players take on the challenge, with AI racers tailored to match their skill level, while accessible menus and handling also return for players who want to get into the action quickly.
Refreshed practice programmes offer more variety this time around too, while 'My Team' returns – players now given a choice of starting budget and three entry scenarios.
The 10-year career mode also returns, as does the two-player career option, and the epic online multiplayer mode.
