F1 FANTASY: 6 reasons why you should play in 2020
Formula 1 returns in July after a long break – and that means F1 Fantasy is back too. To get you raring to go before the Austrian Grand Prix kicks off the new season, here are six reasons why now is the perfect time to join in...
Sign up for the game here to start playing now!
1. You can win exclusive prizes
It’s not just bragging rights on offer in F1 Fantasy this year but prizes too – and a whole host of them – to reward the best players throughout the 2020 season, from signed caps to F1 Paddock Passes.
Here’s what you could win by finishing on the 'podium' in the Overall Leaderboard:
1st Prize
Wins 2x Paddock Club Passes to a 2021 Grand Prix
2nd Prize
2x Grandstand Tickets and Paddock Passes to one from a selection of 2021 Grand Prix
3rd Prize
F1 TV Pro or Access (depending on territory)
And that’s not all. The person with the top scoring team each week will win an F1 team T-shirt. The player with the top scoring team in each Official F1 mini-league will win a signed F1 cap. And many more prizes will be offered throughout the season in the Leagues Lobby. Bear in mind, though, that only your Team 1 is entered into the global, constructor and country leagues for the year – and, of course, terms and conditions apply.
UPDATE: Mini-leagues have been updated for the 2020 F1 restart, with special mini-leagues for the double-header rounds in Austria and at Silverstone.
2 Mega Drivers!
Think you’re onto a winner? Now you can back your intuition with a Mega Driver bonus, multiplying your chosen driver's score by three in that particular race. So you have a chance to rake in some serious points – but beware: a negative score will also be tripled, so think hard before making your picks.
There’s no price restriction on Mega Drivers – Mega Lewis Hamilton, anyone? – and you can play your Mega Driver bonus twice per season. Oh, and Turbo Driver bonuses, which double a driver's score, can be played on any driver under $20m.
3. You can customise your league
Leagues return with a bang this year. Invite 10 or more people to your league and you’ll unlock customisation options, including a custom avatar and cover image to make yours unique.

4. New season, new look
There's a new look and feel for this season, too, to make it even more player-friendly. Among the new features, F1 Fantasy will show you visually how your drivers have been performing over the last few races, making it easier to pick a winner.
5. New for 2020: dynamic driver pricing
You can play the markets this season with the prices for each driver constantly changing depending on how often they're subbed in and out of teams by other players. Buy low, sell high, or just revel in the fact that your chosen driver is making you a healthy profit. If you play your cards right it means you can increase your budget to more than the $100m limit you will start off with.
This feature will kick in once qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix starts, with prices updated on an hourly basis! The F1 Fantasy site will also reflect – with either a green or red arrow – how much the price of your driver has changed, with a ‘sentiment bar’ showing how likely the price is to change.
6. It’s easier than ever to sign up
To get started, all you have to do is sign up, select a team and invite your friends. So sign up now to see the 2020 F1 season in a whole new light as you scrutinise the drivers’ performances up and down the grid to see how many points they are earning you!
