What changes should you make for the British GP?
Max Verstappen was one of our key tips for the last race in Hungary. The Red Bull driver was made a Mega Driver (multiplying his score by three) by 20% of F1 Fantasy players for the Hungarian GP, where he finished a stunning second and picked up a brilliant 41 points (or 123 for the lucky 20%) – an even more impressive feat considering his crash on the way to the grid.
F1 FANTASY: How to play – the essential guide to get you started
However, the Dutchman hasn't finished on the podium at Silverstone since 2016 – so you may not want to base your team around him for this weekend's British Grand Prix. Racing Point and McLaren offer cheaper alternatives that could work with a team based around Lewis Hamilton, who has won five of the last six British Grands Prix and taken pole in four of them. If you haven't played your Mega Driver power-up (which triples the score of your chosen driver), now's a good time to do it with the six-time champ.

Although Sergio Perez didn't match up to team mate Lance Stroll last time out – who features in the highest-scoring team from Hungary, below – he's still outscored the Canadian in F1 Fantasy this season. And Lando Norris is now in 51% of F1 Fantasy teams – and deservedly so, having picked up a brilliant 65 points so far this season.
But a surprise pick that you may have overlooked is Antonio Giovinazzi, who scored 19 points in Austria, 12 at the Styrian GP and eight in Hungary. For just $8.6m, he's a bargain – and you'd be ahead of the game if you bought him now; just 9% of teams include the Alfa Romeo man.
Highest scoring team for the Hungarian Grand Prix
Mega Driver (x3 points) Lewis Hamilton would have netted you 147 points as he took a hat-trick in Hungary of pole position, fastest lap and the win. His team, Mercedes, scored 80 – a bumper haul – thanks to Hamilton's win and Bottas's P3 finish. But their score was boosted thanks to streaks – a run of three top-10 qualifications (five points) for both drivers, and three top-10 finishes (10 points) for both drivers, gained Mercedes 15 extra points.

As for the Turbo Driver, which doubles points for any driver valued at less than $20m, Lance Stroll was the best choice. He scored 27 points in all, more than any other driver under $20m, by finishing fourth in Hungary.
Kevin Magnussen's haul was boosted thanks to a cheeky formation lap call from Haas that took him to P10 after the flag. As he gained six places, he scored 10 points on his way to a total of 18.
Alfa Romeo's Kimi Raikkonen and AlphaTauri's Daniil Kvyat gained five places apiece and gained 10 points each as a result. They finished the weekend with a solid score of 15 points each. The highest score last time out was a brilliant 329, as a result.
So sign up now and pick your team before the action kicks off this weekend at Silverstone...
