Charles Leclerc stormed to an emphatic victory in Austin, the Monegasque driver recording his third win of the year followed by Carlos Sainz as Ferrari made it a 1-2 to spark hope among the tifosi that the Scuderia can join the fight for the constructors' title.

All the talk in the build up to the race weekend was about Max Verstappen and Lando Norris – and the two title contenders did indeed do battle in Texas, with Norris getting the better of his rival on track, only for the stewards to penalise him for his overtaking move and knock him back off the podium.

Neither of them though could keep up with the Ferrari pair who raced away to seal an impressive triumph on American soil which puts them just eight points behind Red Bull in the standings.
