It was a dramatic weekend in Australia that ended with Max Verstappen standing on the top step of the podium, and extending his lead at the top of the championship to 15 points – and the F1 Nation crew are here to review all the major talking points.

This week, host Tom Clarkson is joined by Damon Hill, along with members of Australia’s Network 10 TV team.

They discuss all the key talking points from the race, such as Verstappen overcoming the three red flags and Safety Cars to take victory, along with his team mate Sergio Perez’s comeback through the field to finish fifth after a tough weekend.

Also on the agenda are the mixed fortunes endured at Mercedes, as Lewis Hamilton claimed the team’s first podium of the year, while team mate George Russell retired with a suspected engine issue. But could this result be the catalyst they need to find their way back to the top of the field?

And what of Ferrari? It was a difficult day for the Italian outfit, and the group discuss Charles Leclerc’s early DNF and his slow start to the season, along with Carlos Sainz’s five-second time penalty at the end of the race for spinning Fernando Alonso.

It was also a good day for Melbourne native Oscar Piastri, so joining the gang are his manager and former Formula 1 driver Mark Webber, along with McLaren CEO Zak Brown, as they reflect on the rookie driver scoring his first points in F1, as well as possible upgrades coming in Baku to the MCL60.

Lastly, they are also joined by Alfa Romeo points scorer Zhou Guanyu, who stops by for a quick chat, as he talks us through the restart chaos, and revels in his first top-10 finish of the year, after taking the chequered flag in ninth.
