F1 NATION: Verstappen wins big while Leclerc misses out – it's our Las Vegas Grand Prix review

It was a spectacle of a race in Las Vegas as Max Verstappen came out on top to seal his 18th win of the season. But there was plenty to unpack from our weekend in the 'Entertainment Capital of the World' and our F1 Nation crew is on hand to do just that.

From the heart of the Vegas paddock, Tom Clarkson is once again joined by Natalie Pinkham and Damon Hill as they review a thrilling first race on the Las Vegas Strip circuit with Verstappen scoring a tough win.

Verstappen overcame a five-second penalty and competition from Charles Leclerc to score the victory. But does Las Vegas count as another missed opportunity for pole-sitter Leclerc and Ferrari, or were they just unlucky?

The gang also assess Sergio Perez’s performance, after the Mexican racer recovered from the back of the field to finish on the podium. In doing so, he sealed second place in the drivers’ championship, so what could that mean for his future with Red Bull?

With Leclerc in second and Carlos Sainz in sixth it means the gap between the Scuderia and second-placed Mercedes in the constructors' standings is just four points. With that battle set for a thrilling finale in Abu Dhabi, we hear the thoughts of Ferrari ambassador Marc Gene and the Silver Arrows’ Technical Director James Allison.

Also stopping by for a quick chat is Esteban Ocon, who arguably produced the performance of the weekend. The Alpine driver went from P16 to P4 and he talks us through his eventful weekend in Las Vegas.

Another driver who went from a lowly starting position to finishing in the top-10 was Lance Stroll, and his Aston Martin Performance Director Tom McCullough reflects on the Canadian racer’s fifth place finish after lining up 19th.
