F2: Antonelli storms through to take victory in Budapest Feature Race
Andrea Kimi Antonelli made a late charge through the field to seal his first Feature Race victory of the season – and his second win overall – in Budapest.
The PREMA Racing rookie was a driver in form making an outstanding early overtake on Zane Maloney at Turn 9 for P4, before taking the lead when the Soft tyre runners pitted under an early Safety Car.

He then built a six-and-a-half-second gap out in front after the restart before another Safety Car intervention on Lap 23 gave him the chance to swap his aging Hard tyres for some Softs.
He needed just three laps to make his way to the front of the field before going off into the distance to win by 12.5s from ART Grand Prix driver Victor Martins.
Alpine Academy member Martins took the lead at the start after lining up in P5 and, while he had looked on course to win before the second Safety Car, he settled for another second place, having finished in the same position in the Sprint.
Richard Verschoor bounced back from his disqualification in the Sprint Race to take the final spot on the podium, pulling off a last lap overtake on Invicta Racing’s Gabriel Bortoleto in the process.
Van Amersfoort Racing’s Enzo Fittipaldi had started in second place but lost out in the pit stop exchanges to finish fifth ahead of MP Motorsport’s Dennis Hauger and the second Invicta car of Kush Maini.
Ritomo Miyata also put in a measured performance to finish in eighth place for Rodin Motorsport, with Taylor Barnard scoring more points for AIX Racing in P9, as VAR driver Rafael Villagómez took the last point in P10.
That brings an end to the Budapest race weekend, but the drivers will be back in their cars at Spa-Francorchamps for Round 10 from July 26-28.
