But after a Safety Car restart on Lap 4 Beganovic showed great pace to get back into the lead ahead of the Alpine Academy driver down the Kemmel Straight.

Minì looked to put his teammate under pressure, but Beganovic held on to take an important victory that keeps his title hopes alive.

Championship leader Minì crossed the line in second and extended his lead out front to eight points, while Van Amersfoort Racing’s Noel León overtook MP Motorsport’s Tim Tramnitz on the final lap to finish third.

Red Bull Academy member Tramnitz was able to hold off the challenge of Trident’s Santiago Ramos across the line to take fourth, with the Mexican driver in fifth.

Hitech Pulse-Eight’s Luke Browning was promoted to P6 once Sami Meguetounif’s 30-second time penalty for exceeding track limits one too many times was applied, with Sebastián Montoya in seventh for Campos Racing.
