Lewis Hamilton was fifth for Mercedes and has not finished on the podium at Monza since 2019.

Monza is the only circuit on which Hamilton is winless in his last five starts.

After P6 for Red Bull, Max Verstappen has only finished on the podium once in the last four races (his second place at Zandvoort).

This time last year Verstappen was taking his 10th consecutive win. Today he finished 37 seconds behind the winner.

With P7, Mercedes’ George Russell finished in the same position as he did at the last round in Zandvoort.

Sergio Perez finished in P8 for Red Bull, having briefly led the race on-track before pitting.
