Facts & Stats: Hamilton ties another Schumacher record while Mercedes re-write record books once more
Sunday in Imola saw Mercedes secure a record seventh successive constructor’s title, as Lewis Hamilton added some more, impressive statistics to his own F1 CV. But he wasn’t the only one generating interesting numbers in Italy…
• Lewis Hamilton took a 72nd victory for Mercedes, tying the Michael Schumacher-Ferrari record for the most wins with a single constructor.
• Hamilton won on the 29th different race track in his F1 career - a record.

• He also led his 5,000th career lap today.
• Hamilton can now win the drivers’ championship at the next round in Turkey, with just 104 points left to be won this year.
• Valtteri Bottas has now led the 1st lap 4 times in the last 5 races – but he has only won the race when he did not lead lap 1, which was Russia.
• His failure to capitalize on pole means a Finnish driver has still never won a Grand Prix in Italy.
• Mercedes have secured the constructors' championship for the 7th consecutive season and are guaranteed the drivers' championship for the 7th year running.
• It was a great birthday present for Mercedes’s Trackside Engineering Director, Andy Shovlin, who is 47 years old today.
• Mercedes-Benz took their 500th podium finish as an engine supplier in F1.
• Daniel Ricciardo now has 2 podiums in the last 3 races, after previously going 2 and half years without any.

• Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc scored in a 5th consecutive race.
• Racing Point’s Sergio Perez finished 6th, having been 3rd when he pitted under the final Safety Car, helping Renault move ahead of the team in the constructors’ standings.
