Over at Aston Martin, Lance Stroll out-qualified Fernando Alonso for the fifth time this year.

In P9, Alex Albon tied Williams’ best qualifying performance of the year, with only his second Q3 appearance in the past seven races – the same rate of Q3 appearances as Fernando Alonso.
