2006 McLaren MP4/21
Estimate: US$2,500,000-$3,500,000
Chassis MP4/21-2 was driven by Kimi Raikkonen in eight Grands Prix, including the infamous 2006 Monaco Grand Prix – which saw Raikkonen retire from the race and take solace on his yacht in the Monte Carlo harbour. Designed under the technical directorship of Adrian Newey, the car has an estimate of $2.5-3.5m.

1978 Lotus 79
US$6,500,000-$9,500,000
We might be in a ground effect era of F1 currently. But this car is Genesis when it comes to ground effect, and nothing less than one of the most significant F1 cars of all time. With the Lotus 79, Mario Andretti was able to claim the 1978 World Championship, with the team winning the constructors’ to boot. A certifiable masterpiece from Colin Chapman's team.
2022 McLaren Elva
Estimate: US$2,500,000-$3,000,000
Limited to a production run of just 149, two-time champion Fernando Alonso’s McLaren Elva – car number 114 – is a lightweight, 800bhp machine capable of 200mph. And as if more of a sweetener was needed, Alonso himself will hand the keys over to the successful buyer.
2001 Ferrari F2001 showcar
Estimate: US$450,000-650,000
Not a true-blue Ferrari race car, yes, but also up for sale is this officially authorised Ferrari F2001 showcar, designed to celebrate Michael Schumacher’s fourth drivers’ title back in 2001 – the German great claiming nine wins to score almost double the points of closest rival David Coulthard that year.
