Haas have become the final team to announce their launch date for their 2021 campaign, with the American squad set to unveil their new livery on March 4.

The VF-21 will be Gene Haas’ sixth Formula 1 car, continuing a strong relationship with Ferrari that sees them take the power unit and all non-listed parts from the Scuderia.

Haas have opted for an all-new rookie line-up this year, replacing Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean with F2 champion Mick Schumacher and F2 rival Nikita Mazepin.

They will be hoping to improve on a ninth place finish in the constructors’ championship in 2020 – their equal-worst ever performance.

Haas will not fire up their new car until they get to Bahrain next month for pre-season testing, due to restrictions on the movement of people because of Covid-19.

The American team’s boss Guenther Steiner admitted the move was not ideal, but remained optimistic as the stability in the design – with so much carryover of parts from last year to this campaign – minimises the risk.

Their Thursday launch will come one day after Aston Martin reveal their new image and a day before Williams become the final team to launch their 2021 campaign.
