Haas protest Force India cars ahead of Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
In a dramatic twist ahead of this weekend’s season-ending race in Abu Dhabi, the Haas F1 Team have protested the cars of rivals Force India.
On Thursday, Formula 1’s governing body the FIA issued a summons to each squad, requiring team representatives to report to the stewards in Yas Marina at 1100 on Friday morning in relation to the protest.
No further information was given, and all parties have declined to comment on the matter prior to the meeting.
Heading into the 2018 curtain closer, Haas sit in a safe fifth position in the constructors’ standings, while Force India are seventh, having had their points total reset ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix when they emerged from administration as a new entry (Racing Point Force India).
