Helpful information when visiting the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez for the Mexico City Grand Prix
Prepare for your exciting trip to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez and the Mexico City Grand Prix with these helpful tips and circuit information.
What makes the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez so special?
The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is steeped in history and Mexican culture. Named after the famous Mexican racing brothers Pedro and Ricardo Rodriguez, the track is renowned for its technical and challenging layout... and it's elevated height. The circuit is situated over 2km above sea level!
Being at high altitude adds another challenging element to the race weekend for both the cars and drivers, as the thin air impacts aerodynamic and power unit performance, requiring set-up adjustments. 71 laps of the 4.3km circuit is certainly a breathless experience, which must be factored into race preparation and execution!
The lively fiesta atmosphere around the circuit and some of the most fervent fans in the world make the Mexico City Grand Prix a must visit. Keep reading for some useful information and friendly advice to help you make the most of your trip.
