ICYMI: Speed stars, pole vaulters, cowboys and football galore – it's the best social media from Austin
Austin is always one of the highlights on the F1 calendar, with cowboys and footballers everywhere you look, before you even get to the host of celebrities that descend on Texas for the race at the Circuit of The Americas. But what did the drivers get up to across the weekend, and who were they hanging out with? Here's all the best social media you might have missed...
Only one way to dress
Austin is cowboy country, and everyone got into the theme. From the drivers to the engineers and the fans, there was only one cool look for the in crowd.
No one backed it up by riding a horse into the paddock though, with Daniel Ricciardo's famous entrance in 2022 remaining the sort of thing that only he could pull off.
A day to remember
Lewis Hamilton's race was certainly not one he'll want to remember, but for this marshal, the day will be forever cherished.
Hamilton took some time to make the marshal's dreams come true, in a truly heart-warming moment. He might have spun off in the race, but at least Austin wasn't a total bust for the Mercedes man.
Kicking goals
Yuki Tsunoda opted for the other in vogue look in Austin – the American football shirt. The RB man didn't enjoy his Sunday though as he went backwards in the Grand Prix and fialed to score, so perhaps he won't be bringing the football shirt with him to Mexico.
As for George Russell, he has a decent kick on him - but hats off to his team mate for being brave enough to keep the ball still.
Speaking of football...
Look who it is - two of next year's rookies. Jack Doohan will be racing at Alpine while Kimi Antonelli will be at Mercedes, but they put any future rivalry to one side to go and enjoy the football.
What future awaits those two? Both will be hoping for a competitive car for starters, and they'll be going up against experienced team mates too. But for now, they are simply enjoying being part of the F1 circus.
Music vibes
Austin is renowned for its music culture, and a few stars made it all the way to COTA. Amongst them were Shaboozey and Quavo, bringing all the cool vobes to F1.
Bar Hamilton, the drivers aren't renowned for their own music skills so perhaps they learned a thing or two across the weekend, with Lainey Wilson and MK also in attendance.
Sporting stars
It wasn't all about the music though, with plenty of sports stars coming to see what the world of F1 was all about. Speedsters Dina Asher-Smith and Gabby Thomas were there, as was fellow track and field star Mondo Duplantis.
Then there were a whole host of footballers and basketball stars, towering over the drivers as they made their way up and down the grid on Sunday.
Right said Fred
Fred Vasseur cannot be trusted with a bottle of fizz. That much has become very clear since he took over as Ferrari Team Principal and started tasting race winning success.
He once again caused some mischief and mayhem as Ferrari tried to celebrate their historic 1-2 in Austin, giving everyone a good soaking - including the drivers who had only just dried off after getting drenched on the podium.
