‘If you don’t take risks, you’re dead’ – Fred Vasseur on how he turned Ferrari back into title contenders, and his goals for 2025
Ferrari may have missed out on a first constructors’ championship in 16 years in 2024, but for the first time in a long time, they looked like a squad that could genuinely win the title if they stay on this trajectory. And that’s why, while there was disappointment to just miss out to McLaren by a mere 14 points, that was quickly overtaken by an overwhelming sense of hope and excitement about what may lie ahead.
Team Principal Fred Vasseur was in fine form when he hosted a group of international media in an events space overlooking Ferrari’s beautiful Fiorano test track for the Italian squad’s traditional end-of-season Christmas lunch.
