Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz and Daniil Kvyat became honorary British country gents for the day as they joined team principal Christian Horner and former F1 driver Martin Brundle for a charity clay pigeon shoot.

Renault's Jolyon Palmer started his first home race with this splendid helmet design, featuring the London skyline. Sadly that race ended in retirement, after the wheels - quite literally - came off his Silverstone challenge.

Tyres, calendars, cuisine... is there anything Pirelli can't do? No wonder the F1 media corps were so keen to indulge in the Italian firm's paddock hospitality.

As always there was huge home support for 2009 world champion Jenson Button. Sadly, Sunday's race did not change the McLaren star's record of having never seen the Silverstone podium.

Asking F1 drivers to participate in an impromptu musical jam session was always going to be a gamble, but in Manor's Pascal Wehrlein came an unexpected surprise.

How many famous faces can you fit in an F1 garage? It seems Red Bull were going for a record. Among them were: Spice girls Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, English international cricketers James Anderson and Stuart Broad and baker extraordinaire Paul Hollywood.
