Kick Sauber announce F1 ACADEMY’s Carrie Schreiner as Team Brand Ambassador
Share
Kick Sauber have confirmed that their 2024 F1 ACADEMY driver Carrie Schreiner will move into a role as the Swiss outfit’s Team Brand Ambassador, now that her campaign in the all-female series has come to an end.
With contenders only permitted to race in F1 ACADEMY for two seasons, the German driver will step away from the series but remain a part of the Sauber racing family, continuing to build her motorsport career with them.
2024 was the first season where F1 teams handpicked female drivers to represent them in the series, with Schreiner joining the likes of Théo Pourchaire and Léna Bühler as part of the Sauber Academy.
She rounded off the year ninth in the standings after securing nine points finishes, including two P6 results in Zandvoort and Yas Marina whilst driving for Campos Racing, improving on her P11 result from the 2023 season.
With previous experience in touring cars and endurance racing, Schreiner will continue driving, but her new role as a team ambassador will also see her assist in mentoring the next generation of competitors while promoting the team’s values.
“I’m truly proud to take on this new role as Team Brand Ambassador,” Schreiner said following the announcement. “It’s an honour to continue being part of this incredible team – which has now become my racing family – and to contribute to its success in new ways.

“I look forward to supporting the team’s mission, engaging with our fans and partners, while helping inspire the next generation of motorsport talent. I’m excited for what’s in store for 2025 and beyond and I am looking forward to getting started.”
In her time at Campos, she helped to secure third place in the teams' standings as she drove alongside Barcelona Race 2 winner Chloe Chambers and four-time podium finisher Nerea Marti, with the three netting 292 points for the team.
Binotto and Schreiner will work together as Sauber prepares for a new era
With Sauber preparing for the Audi takeover in 2026, Mattia Binotto was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technical Officer earlier this year, helping to guide them through the major change.
He explained that they are “delighted” at the prospect of continuing to work alongside the 26-year-old, adding that she has been an “integral part of our racing family” in her first season with Sauber.

“With her on-track achievements across several motorsport series, as well as her attitude and passion, I have no doubt she will bring the same energy to her new role," he said.
“Carrie’s ability to inspire and connect with fans and stakeholders alike, together with her understanding of racing, make her the perfect fit to support the team starting from 2025.”
