Logan Sargeant’s Dutch Grand Prix ended in dramatic fashion as the American driver crashed into the barrier on the exit of Turn 8, bringing out the first Safety Car of the race.
Sargeant started from 10th after he also crashed out in qualifying on Saturday, but after a chaotic wet-dry opening few laps of the race, the Williams driver found himself running at the back of the field.

And as he looked to make his way back up the order, he was making his way round the circuit on Lap 16 when, at the exit of Turn 8, he went straight on to a damp patch of the track, sending him spinning into the barrier.
Sargeant came onto the radio to say he was okay, but he also questioned whether there had been a failure on the right side of his FW45, before the frustrated rookie cut a lonely figure sat by the side of the track.
