Nerea Marti to replace injured Tereza Babickova at F3 tests in Magny-Cours
Nerea Marti will be replacing fellow W Series driver Tereza Babickova at this weekend’s all-female Formula 3 test at Circuit de Magny-Cours, after the Czech racer was ruled out due to injury.
Babickova was due to take part in the second edition of the female-focused test in F3 cars, along with fellow W Series drivers Abbi Pulling, Chloe Chambers and Formula Regional driver Hamda Al Qubaisi, but will now be replaced by Marti.

Babickova was competing in the first race of the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine round at Austria’s Red Bull Ring Circuit September 10 when she sustained a spinal injury during an incident.
Babickova returned to her native Czech Republic, where she is currently undergoing medical treatment, with doctors ruling her out of racing commitments until further notice – meaning Babickova will also miss the W Series round in Singapore.
Marti – a three-time podium finisher in W Series – took part in last year’s test in November at the same circuit and admits she is “super excited” to be returning this weekend.
“First of all, I hope Tereza has a speedy recovery and I look forward to seeing her back on track as soon as possible,” said Marti.
“I'm super excited to be taking part to this week’s Formula 3 tests. I was offered the same opportunity last year, and it was a really positive day during which I learned a lot. It will be really good to see my progression from last year and of course gain more experience with the F3 car."
She continued: “I really appreciate this great opportunity, and I want to thank Bruno Michel and his team. I'm ready for it and I'm going to give my all again!”
“First and foremost, I am glad that Tereza is in good spirits and receiving excellent medical treatment for her injury," added W Series Race Director Dave Ryan. "[Tereza] has made a good start to her W Series racing career this year, hence why several opportunities in other single-seater categories have come her way in the last few months.

"She is a promising and determined young driver, and that combination means there is every chance that further opportunities, with the likes of Formula 3, will present themselves again in the future."
He continued: "For now, she is focusing on her recovery which W Series will support her in fully to ensure it is as quick as possible. We send her our best and wish her a strong and speedy return to racing in due course.”
Marti will be on track on day two of the test on September 17 along with Chambers.
