PADDOCK INSIDER: Verstappen eyeing his fourth title and a mighty constructors' battle – it's game on in Las Vegas
Share
There’s plenty on the line as Formula 1 rolled into Sin City for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, with reigning world champion Max Verstappen on the verge of making it four titles on the bounce and McLaren facing stiff competition from Ferrari to take their first constructor’s championship since way back in 1998.
Lando Norris had been slowly chipping away at Verstappen’s lead over a succession of races coming to Brazil. And while that continued into the Sprint at Interlagos, his title hopes took a huge hit in the Grand Prix. Verstappen fought back from 17th on the grid to win with a sensational drive as Norris – who had been leading before he lost track position by pitting just before a red flag while Verstappen had stayed out – ended up sixth.
