There was a real buzz in the Budapest paddock on Thursday with most feeling there could be as many as four teams in with a genuine shout of victory at this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix.
Mercedes arrive in Budapest riding the crest of a wave, having won the last two Grands Prix on the bounce through George Russell in Austria and Lewis Hamilton at Silverstone – an impressive feat considering you have to go back to 2021 for their previous victory.
