PRACTICE DEBRIEF: Why mixed conditions in Montreal mean it’s all to play for heading into the weekend

Sun. Rain. Hail. Friday in Montreal pretty much had it all, which meant the opening pair of practice sessions for the Canadian Grand Prix were heavily disrupted.
Weather conditions changed rapidly through the day, with the teams afforded only 30 minutes or so of running where they could consistently use dry weather tyres – but even then, the conditions were less than ideal.
As a result, there was very little that could be learned regarding relative performance – however there were a few notable outcomes that will impact the weekend.
