Red Bull reveal fan-designed stars-and-stripes livery for United States Grand Prix
For the second time this season Red Bull have turned their RB19 car into a canvas for their fans. The winning design from the team’s Make Your Mark competition will decorate the 2023 championship-winning machines of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez at the Circuit of The Americas this weekend.
The competition sees Red Bull’s fans challenged to design a bespoke livery for each of the three Grands Prix in the United States this season, the first having appeared in Miami back in May and the third to debut at next month’s Las Vegas round.
The winning design for Austin – by Franco Cavallone from Argentina – takes its inspiration from the Lone Star Flag of Texas and features bold, sweeping lines of red, white and blue along the chassis and front and rear wings of the RB19, along with ornate, Texan stars.
“I’m a freelance graphic designer and this is easily the most exciting thing I’ve ever designed!” said Franco, who has been flown to Austin this week to see his livery in person. “It’s like a dream that this is happening to me, seeing my design on the car will be the best day ever, I can’t wait to see it on track.”
Over 2,000 unique liveries were submitted to the competition, with each individually reviewed by Red Bull before the top designs were put to a vote in which almost 25,000 fans had their say.
“It’s really exciting to see this unique, fan led competition come to life and coincide with the growth of Formula 1 and our supporters in the US,” commented Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner. “I think Franco has done an excellent job and the car looks incredible showcasing the Texan colours and culture.”

Red Bull won with their last fan livery in Miami, where Verstappen led home a one-two for the team, and the Dutchman has also been victorious in their last two visits to the Circuit of The Americas.
Meanwhile, the design made a grand entrance ahead of the weekend’s racing action, with Red Bull using a helicopter to fly the re-liveried RB19 across the Austin skyline, before landing at the headquarters of the team’s title partner Oracle.
