Luca Ghiotto of Hitech Grand Prix in the post-race press conference with second placed Callum Ilott of UNI-Virtuosi Racing and third placed Mick Schumacher of PREMA in Hungary

The Italian managed to eke every last drop of grip out of his mediums and clung on to the win ahead of reverse polesitter Callum Ilott, who had pitted from first and failed in his attempts to catch up with the Hitech racer – by just 0.423s at the flag.

Ferrari junior Mick Schumacher’s title bid finally has some traction after a frustrating opening two rounds to the season. The PREMA racer sealed back-to-back podiums with a third-place finish.

His PREMA and Ferrari Driver Academy team mate Robert Shwartzman remains the man to beat in the Championship, having claimed fourth to top the standings with 81 points, 18 ahead of Ilott.
