Ruth Buscombe to join F1 TV line-up for 2024 season

Ruth Buscombe, former Head of Race Strategy at what is now the Kick Sauber team, has joined the F1 TV line-up for the remainder of the 2024 season.

Buscombe brings with her more than 10 years’ experience in the F1 Paddock and will provide F1 TV viewers with fascinating insight into race-defining strategic decisions – starting with this weekend's Miami Grand Prix.

Buscombe joined the Hinwil-based squad in 2016 before leaving the team at the end of 2023. She'll join a talented F1 TV roster that includes presenters Will Buxton and Laura Winter, F1 correspondent Lawrence Barretto, technical analyst Sam Collins, as well as commentators Alex Jacques, former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer, IndyCar star James Hinchcliffe and other pundits including former race engineer Julien-Simon Chautemps, 2012 GP2 series champion Davide Valsecchi, and European Le Mans Series Champion Alex Brundle.

Ruth began her F1 journey in 2012 with Ferrari, with a stint at Haas before joining up with Sauber, and has worked with drivers including 2007 Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen and four-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel over the course of her career.

Buscombe is bringing all her Formula 1 experience to the F1 TV team

"I can’t wait to join the F1 TV team in Miami and delve into the thinking behind some of the key decisions fans see and debate every weekend," Buscombe said. "I’m excited to bring my knowledge and over 10 years of experience as a strategist to an incredibly talented team of presenters and I look forward to bringing the latest news from around the Paddock, both on and off track to the passionate fans watching at home.”
