Safety Car sports special red livery at Mugello to celebrate Ferrari’s 1000th GP
Ferrari are celebrating their 1000th Formula 1 race at this weekend's Tuscan Grand Prix, and to help mark the occasion the F1 Safety Car has been decked out in a special colour scheme for the event.
The Mercedes-AMG GT R normally runs in its silver livery, but this weekend at Mugello it is sporting a Ferrari-inspired red paint job, as a nod to the Scuderia's remarkable milestone, as you can see in the gallery above.
It isn't the only car to be running a new livery this weekend, with the Ferrari SF1000 itself also having a one-off retro burgundy design in honour of the first livery seen on a Ferrari racing car.
