SAY WHAT?! Russell's confusion, traffic chaos and joy for Perez all feature in the best team radio from Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix weekend had it all, from qualifying shocks to crashes, breakdown and penalties. As the drivers got down to business, nerves were frayed even at this early part of the season – all of which was evident over team radio…
The Red Bull drivers were left confused in practice when their cars misbehaved, and Lewis Hamilton was also left scratching his head over where to improve. Meanwhile, everyone else was struggling with traffic at what is in places a pretty tight street circuit, leading to some pretty fruity exchanges on the airwaves.
Sergio Perez was far happier with how his Saturday went, and it only got better there for the Mexican. Logan Sargeant, though, was bewildered after being told he’d run wide in qualifying, and he wasn’t the only befuddled driver, with George Russell unsure as to when or whether Fernando Alonso had served his penalty during the race.
Russell’s confusion continued as the race wore on, with the Mercedes man unsure if he was heading to the podium or not. But one driver who did make it to the rostrum was Max Verstappen, despite having started P15 – much to his team’s delight.
