Tsunoda to start Sao Paulo Grand Prix from pit lane after parc ferme changes
Yuki Tsunoda will start Sunday’s Sao Paulo Grand Prix from the pit lane after changing a series of parts under parc ferme conditions.
AlphaTauri opted to change the floor on Tsunoda’s AT03 for one of the same specification, while kitting the Japanese driver – who was slated to start P15 – with a different specification of front wing and nose assembly, and a different specification of rear wing.
Changes were also made to the set-up of Tsunoda’s suspension – with all of the above alterations forcing a pit lane start, as per article 40.9 of the Sporting Regulations.
Tsunoda’s team mate Pierre Gasly is set to start P10, meanwhile, the Frenchman having received a warning after Saturday’s Sprint action for having driven too slowly on his reconnaissance laps.
