Max Verstappen will be hoping to be in prime position to fight for victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix after securing pole position in qualifying.
The Red Bull driver set the pace with a lap time of 1m 29.179s, giving him an advantage of three tenths over Charles Leclerc, who will line up alongside him on the front row in P2.
